Acceptable Use Policy

InboxWire exists so that developers can test signup and email-verification flows without polluting a real mailbox, and so that people can avoid handing their personal address to every website that demands one. Those are legitimate, ordinary uses and they are what the Service is built for.

This policy sets out what you must not do. It applies to everyone: the free page, the API, and every plan.

Prohibited uses

Crime, fraud and deception

• Any activity that is criminal, fraudulent or unlawful under any law that applies to you or to us.
• Impersonating another person or organisation, or misrepresenting your affiliation with anyone.
• Phishing, social engineering, advance-fee fraud, fake-refund schemes, or any attempt to obtain money, credentials or data by deception.
• Money laundering, sanctions evasion, or financing of terrorism or other prohibited activity.
• Creating accounts in another person's name, or using a disposable address as part of identity theft or synthetic-identity fraud.

Abuse of third-party services

• Mass or automated creation of accounts on a third-party service in breach of that service's terms — including bonus, referral, coupon, free-trial and airdrop farming.
• Evading a ban, suspension, rate limit, paywall, age gate or identity check imposed by another service in order to gain an advantage or cause harm.
• Manipulating votes, polls, reviews, ratings, waitlists, ticket sales or giveaways.
• Circumventing know-your-customer, anti-money-laundering or age-verification requirements.

Harm to people

• Harassment, stalking, bullying, threats, intimidation, doxxing, or subscription-bombing anyone.
• Any activity involving child sexual abuse material, or the sexual exploitation of any person. We report such material to the competent authorities without notice.
• Content or conduct that is defamatory, obscene, or that incites violence or unlawful discrimination.
• Receiving or handling another person's private, personal or sensitive data without a lawful basis to do so.

Technical abuse

• Attacking, probing, penetration-testing, overloading or attempting to gain unauthorised access to the Service, or to any other system, using the Service.
• Distributing malware, ransomware, exploits or unlawful material through, or to, an inbox.
• Guessing, enumerating or scraping addresses or inboxes that you did not create; harvesting message content in bulk.
• Exceeding, evading or attempting to evade quotas and rate limits, including by creating multiple accounts to obtain extra free quota.
• Reselling, sublicensing or white-labelling the Service, or using it as the backend of a competing product, without our written permission.
• Using the Service to receive mail on a domain you do not control, or configuring a custom domain you are not authorised to use.

Wrong tool for the job

• Using InboxWire as a mailbox for anything you need to keep. Messages are deleted permanently on expiry and there is no archive or backup.
• Receiving password resets, banking or payment details, government identifiers, medical records, or any confidential or sensitive information. Inboxes on the public page are readable by anyone who knows the address.
• Registering for services you actually intend to keep using long-term. When the address expires you will lose the ability to recover that account, and we cannot help you.

Using InboxWire with other websites

Many websites prohibit disposable email addresses in their own terms, and many actively detect and block them. That is their right.

Nothing in the Service is an authorisation, endorsement or encouragement to breach anyone else's terms of service. Whether you may use a disposable address on a particular site is a matter between you and that site. If you use an InboxWire address in breach of another site's rules, you accept the consequences — including the loss of that account and any content or balance in it — and the Operator bears no responsibility or liability for that outcome.

Reporting abuse

If an InboxWire address has been used to harm you or your service, tell us and we will act. Email abuse@emailcheck.in with:

• the address or domain involved;
• what happened, and the approximate date and time (with timezone);
• any relevant headers, logs or message IDs; and
• how we can reach you.

We aim to acknowledge reports within 72 hours. Bear in mind that inbox contents are deleted automatically on expiry, so evidence may no longer exist by the time a report reaches us. Include everything you have.

Blocklist requests. If you operate a service and simply want our domains blocked from signing up, we will help you do that rather than argue about it. Write to the same address and we will provide the current domain list.

Law enforcement. Authorised agencies should write to abuse@emailcheck.in with the legal basis for the request. We respond to valid, properly served orders under Indian law, or through the applicable mutual legal assistance route. Note that we hold very little: message content is short-lived and deleted on expiry, and anonymous inboxes are not linked to an identity.

Enforcement

Where we find a breach, we may — at our sole discretion, in any order, and without prior notice — delete inboxes or messages, revoke API keys, suspend or terminate an account, block addresses, domains or IP ranges, refuse future signups, retain evidence, and report the matter to the competent authorities.

Serious breaches result in immediate termination with no refund. We do not owe you an explanation in advance of acting, though we will usually give one afterwards on request.
